”The Circle of Everything”

Below image gallery shows photographs staged in collaboration with photographer Julian Kessler while working on interdisciplinary performance work “The Circle Of Everything” for London debut in 2024.

By turning the camera onto herself, the artist assumes the position of both image maker (subject) and model (object).

Working with 3 different Enso paintings from the performance rehearsals, the works are given another life as contemporary dreamscapes. Somewhere between representation and abstraction, the works explore themes of duality and balance; our sense of connection vs. the feeling of separation, self-protection and self-absorption vs. isolation and finally the light and the dark.

The piece draws inspiration from Enso, the iconic Zen symbol, the synonym of duality; empty yet full, infinite yet complete. Painted as one masterstroke, with no corrections afterwards. A central subject in artist’s interdisciplinary practice.
