⭕️ Enso is classical Zen symbol and part of my practice for 7 years since my first trip to Japan in 2018. Painted in one masterstroke and no corrections afterwards. The practice gives form to the concentrated flow of the energy in the moment, making invisible synchronicities visible.
Symbolically, the iconic Zen symbol represents the circle of life, unity and connection to all as well as duality of our existence; empty yet full, infinite yet complete.
Painted in March 2025 as part of creating a film version of “The Circle of Everything” performance where the Enso is painted live and then used as part of choreography (with artist’s body positioned as vitruvian man by Leonardo da Vinci, symbolising oneness and connection and a fetus position as symbol of birth and death).
This painting has been installed on a wooden black pole, signed, varnished. Ready to hang on the wall.
