The visual development of this work started in 2025, through my Arts Council England DYCP award, when I researched multiple large-scale Enso compositions and durational painting methods, with each Enso scaled to the human body.
In July 2026, I tested this early concept in the studio. Initial participant feedback confirmed the artistic potential of the work while highlighting areas for further development, including spatial composition, facilitation and audience experience. This is an ongoing project.
“Cellular Constellation”

A significant turning point in my artistic practice, transforming my long-term investigation of the Enso circle from interdisciplinary performance into participatory installation.
My vision for Cellular Constellation unfolds in two parts. Part 1 is a live durational painting performance that gradually fills the gallery floor over 1–2 hours, depending on the size of the space. Part 2 invites participants to complete the work by inhabiting the painted composition and taking part in a guided meditative journey exploring individuality and interconnectedness, the micro and the macro, and the space between separation and oneness.
The project grew directly from a discovery during my Arts Council England-supported solo exhibition, The Cosmos Within, in 2026. Throughout the exhibition, I observed visitors spending extended periods within the gallery space, lying among the paintings, meditating and engaging with the work in deeply embodied ways. Many expressed a desire to step inside the painted circles, becoming active participants rather than observers.
